Orthotics – Prosthesis Project
Our High-Tech Orthotics-Prosthetic Centers
Our High-Tech Orthotics-Prosthetic Centers
We are trying to reconnect people who have been destroyed by weapons and made disabled by using modern devices. We are raising hope. We are working hard to help the victims of the war, people who have lost their limbs, to hold on to life.
We give hope to people at Türkiye’s High-Tech Orthotics-Prosthetics Production and Application Center to meet the needs of war victims who suffered limb loss in the bomb attacks in Syria.
Features of the project
Features of the project
- İt is a pioneering project in which we operate by taking measurements from the patient using 3D scanners, without the need for plaster impressions.
- Production costs have been reduced by using the of software and 3D printers specially produced for prosthesis production.
- With the start of socket production with a 3D printer, it is possible for patients to get their prosthesis in an average of 4-6 hours in the center of Istanbul.
- Thanks to special software and 3D printers, patient-specific sockets or custom-made prostheses can be made when necessary.
- In places far from the center (such as camps, war zones), only a technician can take measurements and transfer with 3D scanners, without carrying plaster and measuring equipment and without having any problems with the transfer of plaster molds.
With the support of the Kuveyt Zakat House organization, and participants of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and AID International Doctors Association, we serve in Istanbul, Sanliurfa and Hatay-Reyhanli and Jarablus. We launched our 4th center in Idlib in September 2020.
In our centers, we produce and apply prosthesis and orthosis for thousands in need.
While giving priority to Syrian war victims who are disabled as a result of injuries, the project’s target group is also those in need who are disabled due to non-war reasons and cannot provide prosthetic orthotics.
Currently, we are becoming hope to Syrian war victims in 3 different prosthesis centers.
